Waterproofing chemicals manufactured and guaranteed by BASF.
BASF is one of the world's largest construction chemical manufacturers and owns a number of leading brands.
BASF have a waterproofing additive better than all the rest because
- it is leading edge technology, better results with lightweight chemical that is easier to add to the concrete
- this means the sachets can be added on site.
Adding the sachets on site means
- the concrete becomes very fluid; only temporarily but long enough to properly place and compact the concrete
- this is better than other waterproofing additives because their added workability can wear off during a long journey and the site has to add water to the concrete to get it through the pump and compact it - killing any chance of the concrete being waterproof.
Two chemicals are needed to create a waterproof structure:
- Rheofit 799
- Thoro Waterplug
The Rheofit 799 is a blend of super plasticiser and capillary-blocking additive. It adds workability and makes concrete completely waterproof.
The Thoro Waterplug is used to fill joints between concrete pours so that the entire structure is waterproof.
We bring two other chemicals with us to alter the concrete to suit your task and the climatic conditions that day:
- Glenium 51
- Pozzolith
The Glenium 51 is a super plasticiser liquid compatible with Rheofit 799 that can be added to concrete to increase workability.
The Pozzolith is an accelerator usually used to counter the slower reaction times of cold weather though it can be used in varying quantiies at any time to speed up the initial set of concrete and create heat.
